The 2026 Mercedes-Benz Upgrade Certificate program provides a limited number of certificates designed to conquest owners of competitive make vehicles. Use these strategically to deliver a payment advantage for new conquest customers. This program is classified as customer cash, enabling you to market within your AOI in accordance with MBUSA Brand and Technology Standards.

Offer Window
Valid for new or ExCVP DDRs (using new car programs) from June 2 through June 30, 2026.
Named Recipients
Valid only for named certificate recipients or members of the same household. Non-transferable.
One Per Transaction
Limited to one Upgrade Certificate per purchase or lease. Cannot be combined with commercial van offerings.
Required Steps
Dealers must enter Event Code 799235 and GAP Certification Code at DDR, and submit a picture of the competitive registration via MSS Inquiry.
No Trade-In Required
Qualifying customers are not required to trade in their competitive vehicle to receive the certificate benefit.
Limited Supply
A limited number of Upgrade Certificates are available for June. This promotion may end prior to June 30, 2026.
Customer Eligibility
Who Qualifies
- 01 Customer must hold a current registration (Model Year 2020 or newer) from any competitive brand. No brand exclusions apply.
- 02 A copy of the competitive make registration — with the named recipient or same address — must be included in the deal jacket to ensure payment.
- 03 Trade-in is not required. The customer retains their existing vehicle and still qualifies.
- 04 Eligible household members must reside at the same address as the qualifying customer. The credit is non-transferable to family members or friends outside that household.
- 05 This offering and its certificate codes are not eligible for nor compatible with any commercial van offering. It is entirely separate from such programs.

Enter the Event Code
At the time of DDR, enter the Event Code in the Guest Appreciation Offer field.

Enter a GAP Certification Code
Input one of the GAP Certification Codes provided by your Sales Operations Manager (SOM). Each code is single-use only.

Validate
Click "Validate" to confirm the GAP Certification Code is active and unused before proceeding.

Complete the DDR
Proceed with the DDR and all other applicable programs per standard process. The incentive amount will be paid following submission of a valid GAP Certification Code and Event Code.

Submit Competitive Registration via MSS
Submit a legible scan or photo of the eligible competitive registration (eligible make, MY20 or newer) via the MSS Inquiry function by the end of the retail month. A 2-business-day grace period applies for vehicles DDR'd at month-end. Failure to submit by the 1st of the following retail month will result in a chargeback of the Upgrade Certificate incentive.Following submission, MBUSA will validate the customer's name, registration, and address. Ensure the name or address submitted at DDR matches the certificate recipient.

All advertising referencing this incentive must include the approved MBUSA/MBFS disclaimer language.
Brand Standards
All communications must comply with Brand & Technology Standards covering AOI, social media, pricing, and approved language.
Pre-Approvals
Pre-approval is strongly encouraged before deployment. Submit through the compliance website to ensure full compliance.
Lease Advertising
This offer cannot be incorporated into the lease price. It must be marketed as a standalone offer only.
Required Disclaimer Copy
"A limited number of Upgrade Certificates are available, and this promotion may end prior to June 30, 2026. MBUSA may terminate, amend, or revoke the program at any time in its sole discretion. Offer available on select new 2025, 2026, and 2027 Mercedes-Benz models. Offer does not reduce the dealer's advertised price.
